Email [email protected]. Include your iPhone model, iOS and Knowless versions, selected languages and a short description of the problem. Redact private conversations from screenshots. Never send passwords, card details or private API keys.
Choose supported listening and reading languages. Allow microphone access and finish preparing any required Apple language resources while online. SenseVoiceSmall fallback speech recognition for supported languages and noise-reduction resources are included with the app. This release has no speaker separation or automatic nearby-language listening. Then start the microphone and speak a few complete sentences. Support varies by device and language.
If preparation cannot finish, check your connection and available storage, then retry. Core transcription and translation are not ready for offline use until the necessary resources are installed. A selected language can require a speech resource even when the translation model is ready.
Choose one to three listening languages and one reading language. Opening or closing the selector does not activate the microphone. Selecting a language may start preparation of missing resources, or ask you to confirm a download. You can keep previously selected languages visible without turning them on; use their remove control to hide them.
Core transcription and translation can work offline after preparation. Apple supplies translation and compatible speech assets; missing Apple resources still need online preparation. For supported listening languages whose compatible Apple speech asset is not installed, Knowless uses the included SenseVoiceSmall fallback. It does not replace Apple's translation resources or support every listening language.
Translation prefers Apple's on-device Foundation Models when available for both languages, with Apple Translation as a fallback. The fallback may need separate Apple translation downloads. SenseVoiceSmall and noise-reduction resources load directly from the app, without a Hugging Face download or a second copy in its download cache. Loading into memory can still take time. Purchases, purchase checks and restoration can also use the internet.
Stopping the microphone stops new capture. Already captured speech can still finish recognition and translation. Interim words can change as more context becomes available.
Noise, overlapping voices, names and specialist terms can cause mistakes. Ask the speaker to confirm important information.
Knowless Adless is an optional one-time purchase, not a subscription. It removes sponsor and advertising placements. Core transcription and translation do not require it. The purchase sheet shows the current localized App Store price before confirmation.
Open Settings, open Adless and choose Restore Purchases using the Apple Account that bought it. Check your internet connection if the offer or restoration is unavailable. Do not buy again simply because access is still being checked.
